How do I continue to stay inspired as an educator? I ask myself this question most days.
Teachers Inspired is a platform for teachers to share personal stories, challenges and resources! My mission is to connect with teachers around the world, grow as an educator and share what I learn with you!
Teaching is my passion but it’s one of the toughest professions out there! We go into school each day to help our children learn, grow and become better human beings. We do it because we love it! But how do we continue loving it? How can we continue to feel inspired as teachers? The goal of this podcast is to provide inspiration for that journey.
Through Teachers Inspired, I want to connect teachers and have honest conversations about education. Do you feel valued as an educator? What are some awesome teacher-tips that have helped you get through the school day? When is teaching a challenge? How did you push through? What is your self-care routine like? What is your educational mission? How do you save money on resources? What class period dismantles your entire day!?!
I’m tired of being an expert on everything and I’m sure you are too! Sometimes it’s hard to ask for help. Personally, I need to stop feeling insecure about reaching out for advice!
Inspired Teachers = Inspired Students
An essential part of effective instruction lies within the motivation and happiness of the teacher. Educators are likely to provoke salutary changes in schools if given the space and support to do so. In my experience, I’ve seen incredible things accomplished with little money and minimal resources. I often fantasize about what our schools could be, if given more encouragement and assistance. When teachers feel inspired, appreciated and valued, so do their students. Unfortunately, this is not the reality for most educators. Teachers are becoming more and more alienated from their profession and teacher dissatisfaction is at an all time high. Let’s start this conversation and discover different ways to teach and shape our educational system!
What you’ll find on Teachers Inspired:
- information on teaching differently (there isn’t one set path)
- interviews with inspiring teachers
- systemic issues in our educational system
- self-care for teachers
- lesson plans, curriculum and resources
- and MOREEEE
Let’s be honest! Teaching is highly undervalued in our society and we need to start this conversation!
I’m on a personal quest to find a sustainable way to continue teaching. I also want Teachers Inspired to be that light for you; providing you inspiration to continue your educational journey. So far I’ve interviewed some kick-ass teachers and visited amazing schools. Listen to the intro on the Teachers Inspired podcast below and look out for new posts on Instagram and right here on my blog!
